FTSummit congratulates the Winners of the 2017 Future of Technology Summit Essay Competition

October 30, 2017, Washington, DC — Shaji Nair, Executive Director of FTsummit, sent his congratulations to the brilliant winners of the Essay Competition across the United States and Israel, and he appreciates the participation of all contestants. Nair’s full statement follows:

My role as the Executive Director of FTSummit is to spark conversation among today’s education leaders on how the latest tech advancements impact on the way we live, work, and connect. It is an honor and a delight to announce the brilliant winners of the Essay Contest drawn from student submissions across the United States and Israel.

“I personally want to thank over 800 schools and 3000 essay writers for their effort and contribution to the essay competition’s success.”. The competition was jointly held with the Israeli embassy in D.C. who coordinated school participation across Israel. “All competition logistics and judging were managed by our partners at Literatu (www.literatu.com). using powerful artificial intelligence to find the winning essays. Using the future of technology to grade essays written on the future of technology, was fantastic.”

Literatu delivers an adaptive learning and assessment platform for schools, school districts, teachers, parents and students. Their new Essay Assistant add in, gives teachers insights into how to develop each student’s core writing skills.
